The neck is sharp cut and has a body that is medium in length and round shaped. The "Spartan" throws lots of water and gurgles with real authority. We recommend using short-jabbed, pop-and-stop retrieve if you want to throw lots of water. Sweeping the rod a little longer will cause it to splash then dive/gurgle. There is a slight learning curve to this lure, but we recommend using it when you are looking for precise casts.
